OPS was founded by Jason Cherkas who has over 25 years experience in assisting public sector agencies and small to medium size organizations streamline and optimize their procurement operations. He is an accomplished, results-driven procurement professional who has held senior management positions in procurement and supply chain at TELUS, City of Port Coquitlam, WorkSafeBC and the University of the Fraser Valley.  Jason holds a SCMP designation from Supply Chain Canada, Diploma of Technology in Management Systems from BCIT and a Bachelor of Management from Athabasca University.   

OPS has extensive experience leading procurement transformation projects to align procurement policies, procedures, templates and documentation with the strategic organizational goals and objectives.  OPS also assists clients in the day-to-day operations of sourcing and delivering the goods or services they require to run their businesses by performing procurement related functions such as developing a procurement strategy, leading the competitive bid and evaluation process, leading contract negotiations and ensuring the delivery of the goods or services on time and on budget.
